This was a fun little kit to assemble and works great! The kid did most of it himself, and the whole thing didn't take more than a couple of hours to put together. and if you leave the side covers off you can see it work while it runs, which is kind of neat too.

I'm a mechanic and my niece is always asking me how engines work so I got this so wee can build it together and I can teach her what the different parts are and what they do. I think it was definitely a better way of teaching her than just telling her and it just going in one ear and out the other.

Got this to build with my son who's into cars and engines. Took about 3-4 hours total to build. I was surprised by the overall size of it. Seems very accurate to a V8 engine, and was cool to watch all the pistons move and such.
So much fun. It really works. Great project that took about 4 hours total. Mix of easy and more difficult assembly steps. Highly recommend for adult model and toy brick lovers.
